A common dessert is Czech buns and cakes. Most of these sweet dishes from various types of dough with a filling and covered with chocolate. There are many favourite cakes and tarts, almost every family who bakes has its specialties. But it is not too strictly traditional recipes that would outweigh the others. Among the raw materials include plant foods (eg. various fruits, rhubarb), various crumble, chocolate, plum jam or poppy.
At Christmas is baked for example gingerbread cookies made of honey dough. various nut candy or puffs from egg whites etc.
