Znojmo roast beef with rice

Znojmo roast beef is a traditional Czech meal, which use eggs, sausage and the main thing are original Znojmo gherkins, which are considered the best. The most commonly used beef meat, but can also be used pork shoulder. Znojmo roast beef is served with rice or dumplings.

  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 600 g beef slices back
  • 2 tablespoons whole mustard
  • 6 of canned cucumbers
  • 2 sausages
  • 2 eggs, hard boiled
  • salt and pepper
  • boiled rice for serving

Preparation process:

Peel the onion and chop it finely to fry it in oil. Beef slices slightly pound and notch by sides not to warp. Use a lot of salt and pepper for both sides of meat. Put it into the pot and let the meat involved. Gently pour water, add one tablespoon of mustard, cover and braise hour and half until tender. Then add half gherkins cut into rings, slices of sausage and one tablespoon of mustard. Simmer for fifteen minutes and then pour chopped boiled eggs and the remaining gherkins. Cook for a minute and serve with rice.
